A simple solution for a common problem.

Our bit warmer helps take the edge off of a cold metal bit, making bridling more comfortable especially for sensitive horses.

Description

A Better Start to Every Ride

Cold bits can be uncomfortable, especially for horses who are more sensitive. The Bit Warmer is designed to gently take the chill off before you bridle, helping create a calmer, more positive experience from the very start.

It’s a small step, but as anyone with a sensitive horse knows, even a small upset before your ride can be the difference between a relaxed ride and a tense one.

Why riders love it:

  • Self-activating warmth — No microwave, no electricity, no outlets needed. Activate the gel pouch anywhere, anytime
  • Reusable design — Simply reset in boiling water after each use and it's ready to go again
  • Fits most bits — Compatible with English and Western bits across all riding disciplines
  • Easy to use — Wrap around the bit, let it warm, and bridle with confidence
  • Premium construction — Leather outer with thermoreflective and fleece lining built to last through season after season

A thoughtful addition to any tack room — and a perfect gift for the equestrian in your life.

Care

To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend proper care and storage. Store out of direct sunlight. Spot clean with a damp cloth. The leather can be cleaned with a leather soap. If the leather outer starts to look dry, it can be refreshed with leather conditioner.

Sizing

The bit warmer is made to fit most bits from all disciplines. it is 4.5 inches wide.

Why We Made This

Bridling was often a source of tension for Bob, especially the first winter that Ondine had him. In an effort to take the stress out of the process, Ondine switched to a mild snaffle bit, and sought out a way to warm the bit prior to their early morning rides. The products on the market at the time did not match the needs or aesthetics she desired. Most of them required a microwave to heat, and there was not one at the barn, and preheating wasn't an option since the barn was an hour drive away. This gave rise to our own bit warmer, that will heat on its own anywhere, and looks beautiful hanging on any bridle.
